Getting started with eFax is simple. First, you get on the Internet and go to their home page. At the top of the home page, there are several choices you can make in order to do a little research before you actually sign up.
Once you have decided to go ahead and register, click on the Get Started block in the top left. You will find prompts on each page to follow. All you have to do is fill in the blanks. The first one asks for your zip code. Fill it in and press enter or click on the search button.
This takes you to another web page that prompts you for your area code. These are listed alphabetically by city. Scroll down the list and click on the city and area code that represents your area code. Click on the red continue button.
Surprise! This brings up another web page. After clicking the red button, eFax will display three numbers from which you can choose. You have the choice of continuing, going back to the main menu of numbers or the menu of toll-free numbers. However, before this number can be assigned specifically to you, you must to fill out the information. If you close out before answering the questions and proceeding, you will lose the number you have chosen. They ask for your first name, last name and your e-mail address. If you click the red, you-have-almost-finished button, you are agreeing that you have read and agree to the Customer Agreement.
The words, Customer Agreement, are in a different color. If you click on them, you will be taken to the actual agreement. This is opened in a separate window on your computer. There are twenty-seven points covered. It is recommended that you take the time to read them, as you are agreeing to the contents, which are legally binding.
After reading the Customer Agreement, you simply close the window by clicking on the X in the top right corner. This will take you back to the registration page. If you decide to accept the agreement, you just click the red, you-have-almost-finished button. You will receive the number you have chosen and further instructions.
If you are not sure and just close the page leaving your information in that window, eFax will contact you via your email to help you or answer any questions about the program that you may have. It sounds like it is time consuming, but it goes much faster than reading this account of how to register.
